A goat licked my fingers!

A while ago, Diana's ward had a play group at the Chatfield Botanical Gardens (now that we're private, I don't feel nervous about telling details about our location). As always, Mason, Carter, and I tagged along.
There wasn't really that much to see, but the kids really enjoyed this goat! They were feeding him apples and getting their little fingers in there a little too close, in my opinion. They found out in the end that the goat really likes to eat leaves.

As you can see from this picture, Mason and Levi were pretty thrilled by the whole experience.

When we got home and I was taking Mason out of the car, he excitedly told me that "a goat licked my fingers!" He continued to tell me that every couple minutes for the rest of the day. I told him that that was something that would be fun to tell Daddy when he calls.

A couple days later, when we did receive a call from David, as soon as Mason knew I was on the phone with him, he ran up and exclaimed, "Daddy, a goat licked my fingers!!" What a great memory he has!

The reason...in a nutshell. :)

Well...now that I'm finished inviting people to my blog, it's way later than I thought so I can't write very much. Thank you everyone who is reading this for wanting to be a reader and stay caught up with our lives. :)

The reason, as some of you know, that we went private is because David has joined the military. He is currently in Basic Training in Missouri. After that, he will go to Texas and be trained as a nurse. The plan is for us to go and join him in February. I just didn't want just anyone surfing the web to be able to know that the boys and I were without David -even though we are currently living with my parents, soon enough we will be traveling to Texas and David will only be able to see us in the evenings, but he will have to go back to sleep on base.

Anyways, now that I will be able to write more freely about this, I will be putting up lots of updates!

Thanks again for accepting our invitation to read our blog!

Halloween and Fall pictures

Note-these pictures may not be organized the best, I just got frustrated with trying to move thme around.

No fall would be complete without playing in some leaves! The boys had a blast! Of course, I had a really hard time getting them both to look at the camera at the same time..here are some of my attempts.

It was much easier to get the individual shots, even though they still took a little work.

We went trick-or-treating with Diana and Brandon and their kids this year. It was a lot of fun! We started out the night with their ward's trunk-or-treat, then went around in their neighborhood.

David's parent live in the same ward as Diana, so it was fun to see them there at trunk-or-treat too!

This is the first Halloween that I ever remember when it was warm enough that you didn't even need a jacket.

Carter is always such a good baby. He was totally content to just ride along in the stroller.

The army crawl

This is just an update that is long over due. Carter began the army crawl (some say he looks like a frog) when he was 5 1/2 months and sitting steadily by himself at 6 months.

Click on the video to share in his excitement as he first became mobile.

Now, at 7 months, he is getting into everything that he can and driving his big brother crazy!
