Sent from Above

Our Kacianna is definitely a special one! We often talk about what a good-natured, laid-back baby she is.

We just know that Heavenly Father sent her to us at this time because she is who we needed.

With me working so much and David going to school full time (He is at the top of of his classes, by the way) and with two big brothers who are still pretty little themselves, our lives can get pretty crazy. I know that Heavenly Father knew that I would need a baby who sleeps well and is content to sit next to me and play and go to sleep while I am working so that I could deal with working at 5:30 am every day and taking care of two very rambunctious boys!

Kaci always has the biggest smile when she wakes up and all you have to do is talk to her and grins and giggles. She loves to be read to and gets especially happy whenever her big brothers are around. I definitely know that she recognizes them from the pre-existence; she just gets too happy any time they are around for her not to!

I love this picture-she has the cutest habit of sticking out her tongue lately (I think her cousin, Lyla, did the same thing at around the same age.)

We love our baby princess Kacianna and are so happy that she is in our family!

Creative Daddy

Kaci usually needs her pacifier to help her get to sleep. Sometimes it just keeps falling out and she is quick to let us know. Well, look what Daddy rigged up to help all of us. (That is one of her headbands.)

Bubbles

The boys got some really fun bubble blowers in their Easter baskets (Thank you, Easter Bunny's helper!) As you can see from their faces, they thought they were pretty cool! Kaci didn't quite know what to think. :) Carter is trying to vacuum up the bubbles in that first pictures if you couldn't tell. I included some unrelated pictures of Kacianna at the bottom just 'cuz I thought they were so cute!

Meeting the Easter Bunny

Most kids get to see Santa Claus, but not nearly as many get to see the Easter Bunny! We count ourselves among the lucky few. :) Macey's, a Utah grocery store, had an Easter Egg "hunt" where the kids could go around to different departments and "trick-or-treat" for Easter Eggs. They also painted the kids faces to look like rabbits (very simply, which was a good thing 'cuz i have wiggle worms for children). They got to wear rabbit ears and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. It was something fun and out of the ordinary to do and we even got some grocery shopping done at the same time!

Our Easter adventures

We had a great Easter! It was fun because Mason could anticipate and be excited. We told him that the Easter Bunny would come into their room and check and make sure they were in their beds before he left any surprises (WE have been having a problem with both boys coming into our bed in the middle of the night.) Mason took this to heart and kept yelling at Carter to stay in bed. It was so cute!

At first Mason didn't notice the books that were left on the table. I really wanted to teach the boys about why we celebrate Easter, so they got some church books.

Here is Kaci with her first Easter gifts. Yes, that is a swimming suit that she is holding. The Easter Bunny was so excited to finally find one in the size that she will be this summer...so of course it had to be included in Kaci's gifts. :)

THis is probably one of Carter's favorite holidays. He is our little sweet tooth. He loves anything sweet or chocolate.

Just some snapshots of the kids

I got some pictures of the much-anticipated Easter Egg dyeing event...then I had to put the camera down and participate. My friend Christy suggested putting the eggs in a wire whisk and it worked so well!

I love this picture of Mason showing Kacianna an Easter egg; both of her brothers can make her smile so big on commandd.

Once there was a snowman....

...Tall, Tall, Tall!

We have had a pretty chilly Spring so far. One day, it snowed and the snow was perfect for snowman building. The boys were thrilled! Daddy helped find things for the face and we were all set. I think it was all melted by the next day.
