Fall pictures

What blog would be complete without some good fall pictures? Here are ours...it was actually pretty cold so we didn't last much longer after this, but I think that Kacianna would have actually stayed out longer if I let her! She was enthralled with standing by the fence and looking through it. :) I don't know why Carter isn't wearing a coat, but I"m sure he had a good reason. :)

Sleeping with Dad

David and I were both sick on Saturday night, so Sunday we were both tired...not to mention that David was working 'til midnight on Saturday. So...we took turns watching the kids so the other one could sleep. When I was watching them, they were pretty wild and kept me on my toes. When David watched them, this is what happened: Lucky!

The blessing of a princess

I often refer to Kacianna as Princess because that is what she is. :) These pictures are long, long overdue, but they deserve to be posted. We traveled to Colorado the beginning of May for two very special reasons. The first was so that we could attend Daniel and Charbel's wedding reception. This ended up being a very different reception in that the bride and groom were not in attendance! Charbel's visa had not come through yet, so they were stranded in Mexico, but the show must go on and it did. We were sad not to have them there, but enjoyed their party while they watched via Skype.

We figured since all of our families would be there, we should bless our Princess while we were out there, so we did. It was stake conference for our parents' (they live in the same stake) so we ended up blessing her at David's parents' house.

We were sad that Daniel, Charbel, AJ, Cindy, and LYla could not be there (Lyla was sick and had to go to the ER for a high temp), but here are a bunch of pictures to remind us of what went on.

David gave Kacianna a beautiful blessing and as you can see, she looked like a princess and had many people who love her around.

Random spring and early summer

I'm not catching up quickly, but I am going to catch up! Here are some pics that I came across from the spring and early summer.

As you can see, I really liked accessorizing my only daughter...and that was all well and good until she discovered how to pull anything off her head off. Now, since she doesn't have much hair, I have to settle for small bows made of ribbon corn syruped to her head.

As you can see here

and here

Kaci really enjoyed those little baggies that you can put fruit into....the really messy fruit we had to take off her shirt for

ANd there are a few pics of Mason and Carter thrown in too.

An old box

It's really true what they say about giving your kids an old box to play with and they will be entertained for hours. I had been putting away summer clothes and trying to organize everything into sizes and this box was sort of destroyed from being used as storage many times. I told the boys they could play with it. I usually don't let them play in old diaper boxes because I need them to store clothes in. They were thrilled and thought of the idea all by themselves to paint it and turn it into a race car. They got some old shirts on and went wild. They were so proud of themselves and had a great time. These pics aren't that great, but they're from the cell phone so it's the best I could do.

Mason at Walmart

We sure love this boy. He is so sweet and really does well with being the oldest. He loves going shopping with me!

Halloween at Our HOuse

We had the cutest Ninja Turtle, Scooby Doo, and baby giraffe at our house this past weekend! Here are some pictures so you can agree.
As my good friend, Meg, observed...we are having the hardest time getting all of our kids to smile and look at the camera at once. I usually take several pictures and then just give up and usually have to post a few of certain poses so that you can see all of their faces. :) You will see later on that David is much better at this than I am. :)s a few more pictures 'cuz this was her first Halloween and all.
Kacianna get
This is them helping to pass out candy after they went trunk or treating. There was actually a pretty good turnout. Carter was at first unsure of what was going on, but as soon as he saw that he got candy in his bucket for going to these strange cars, he was all for it. :)

Afterwards we were able to go to Dan and Charbel's and celebrate a Halloween dinner complete with bat wings, mummy dogs, goblin hair, and pumpkin blood. What get together, especially holiday get together would be complete without a cousin picture? Here is one that I stole from Charbel 'cuz our camera died at that point: It was so fun to see all of them dressed up in their costumes, but our kids were pretty well spent at that point and would not look at the camera, let alone smile. :)

Since Halloween was on a Sunday, we did the trick-or-treating on Saturday and saved the pumpkin carving for actual Halloween. We almost got away without doing it, but our boys wouldn't let us skip it. David is, unsuprisingly, a pretty good expert at whipping out custom jack-o-lanterns and did a great job while I got to act as camera lady/baby holder.

He made this cute carving of a pumpkin cottage for Kaci for her first jack-o-lantern and here she is admiring it. In case you're wondering, yes, Kacianna is wearing diaper jeans. No, I don't make a habit of buying designer diapers for my baby...but when you can get them for 2.99 a pack at Riteaid using coupons...it's hard not to buy them. I still would have bought the regular 'cuz there're more in a pack, but they were sold out...so Kaci and Carter get to be in style now. We are hoping that Carter won't be needing them much longer. Is it mean to tell him that Santa will have to bring diapers instead of presents if he's not potty trained by CHristmas? :)

Here is the picture that Daddy took that got everyone looking and smiling at the camera, nevermind the partially/not dressed children, they are still looking! :)
