Cindy and AJ's Wedding!!!

Cindy and AJ got married on April 28! It was a beautiful day, despite the huge rainstorm we had a few days earlier. We are so excited to welcome AJ to our family, and to see what their life together will hold! They were both so happy and looked picture perfect all day long!I can never resist getting a cute picture of Mason and Levi...

Eventful Sunday

This past Sunday had a touch of drama in it for us. It started in Sacrament meeting, Mason was being really good (well, as good as a 10 month old can be)...when it became apparent that he needed his diaper changed. So...I went to change him. As soon as he got the clean diaper on...he needed a change again. Normally, I keep at least 2, even 3 extra diapers on hand, but of course, the day that I needed extras...all I had was the one that he was wearing. So...Mason and I had to miss the end of sacrament meeting and beginning of Sunday School to go home and get a clean diaper. During Sunday School, he got pink goldfish slobber all over David's white shirt. As I was sitting waiting for Relief Society to start, Mason started to get a little fussy. I picked him up and was trying to calm him...when he threw up all over himself, me and my hair. So...I didn't get to hear very much of Church.

After we got home, Mason threw up 3 more times, one of those times all over my hair (again) and down my shirt...causing me to take my 2nd shower after church. Poor little guy! He also got to take a bath. This picture is from another day, but it was really cute and I wanted to put it in. :)

He seemed to be feeling a lot better, though, so David and I decided to take him to the park across the street to try to let him be outside and enjoy himself. He really did love it!

Here he is, sitting on some sort of spinning thing.

This was the first time that David has been able to come with us to the park this summer, so we all really enjoyed it.

Mason is getting so cooridanted, he loves to play with any type of ball.

He also loves to play soccer! People laugh when we say that 'cuz he seems so little. But you should see him! If we are holding him up, he will run after the ball and kick it over and over again until whoever is holding him up gets too tired to continue! :)

Crazy Colorado Weather

Easter Sunday for us here in Littleton brought snow and ice. Here is a picture of Mason and I right after church. Before church, the snow was still coming down quite heavily.

If I hadn't lived in Colorado for my whole life, I would have thought for sure that this abrubpt change in the weather was a sign of the 2nd Coming. The very next day, the high was 68 and we were able to go outside and play, which Mason loves to do. He is wearing long sleeves, but if I hadn't based my assumptions for the day on the snow from Sunday, (how silly)...I would have dressed him in a more summery outfit, and he would have been just fine playing! This is in the same yard as you see above, just minus the snow:

Easter

It was fun to help Mason celebrate his first Easter! He was very excited to see his first Easter basket, and crawled right over to it and started examining the goods! :)

We had gotten him an Easter outfit...but it was shortsleeves and shorts. We woke up to a couple of inches of snow, and it was still coming down, so we decided that Mason would just have to wear his Easter outfit when it gets warmer. (He didn't mind). I had found this really cute outfit at Once Upon a Child with the tags still on it back when Mason couldn't even sit up yet, and now he is finally the right size for it. So it all worked out all right. He is holding onto the sponge/comb that we use to do his hair, he always grabs onto any sort of wet cloth or sponge, if he can!

David was very eager to let Mason enjoy all of the Easter treats, including jelly beans and chocolate! (That's what Daddy's are for, I guess!)Here they are, and if you click on the picture to enlarge it, you can see the colored drool from a jelly bean running down Mason's chin. After church, David wanted to give him some more tastes. I warned him that it would get all over everything, and that I didn't think that Mason really needed it, but Dad insisted. He took off Mason's church clothes and gave him a small piece of an M&M. David was astonished that it got so messy...

Here is the result of giving Mason "just a little candy":

Later that night we went to David's parent's house for a delicious Easter dinner. We had a great time, unfortunately, I didn't bring the camera, so we don't have any pictures.

Recommendation for Teething Babies Everywhere

I just have to write about this amazing product that we have recently started using. It was recommended to me by another mother at the pharmacy when Mason was really little. She mentioned that something called teething tablets worked really well to help babies with teething. I kept that little piece of information in the back of my head, but never actively looked for this remedy.

One day, at King Soopers, I found this package in the baby aisle:

At this point, Mason already had seven teeth, he had done all right with cutting these teeth, but had the normal fussiness. I knew he would be getting more teeth one of these days, so I decided to buy the teething tablets and try them when a need came.

Well, last week, we began to make out the very beginnings of Mason's 8th and possibly 9th teeth. They have not broken through yet, but we know they are coming. Anyways, there have been 3 or 4 times in the past week that Mason has just been crying and crying, I know he is sleepy, but he is obviously in pain. I tried these teething tablets, and it seems too good to be true, but every single time that I have given them to him, he has fallen fast asleep within a minute at the very most!

The package warns that babies may fall asleep immediately after taking them, because now the pain is gone and they can rest. Just this morning, Mason had just woken up, and was not tired, but he was unusually fussy. I gave him the tablets, and he continued immediately with his play, happy again. So I know that they don't have some magic sleeping ingredient in them.

I am so happy that I decided to try them, and they are all natural, which is another plus.

I just wanted to share this little bit of information with other mothers out there that have or will have a teething baby...they are defnitely worth a try, and cheap too! I think I got mine for $4.50

Discovering the Park

This past week has been Spring Break for the schools in the area. Obviously, that does not affect Mason and I too much, but we did plan to go to the zoo with my mom, Katie, Michael, and Diana & her kiddos on Thursday. Well, we woke up on Thursday to snow...and it didn't stop all day, so we did not get to go.
As I was scraping the inches of snow off of our two cars (we have not been blessed with covered parking yet), I realized that although I usually love the snow, and am still glad that we live in a place that gets it, I was not very excited at all about this March snowstorm interrupting the first signs of spring that we had been enjoying.

Mason was really disappointed because he loves animals. But, like usual Colorado weather, it warmed up a few days later. As a compromise, we all met at a park for a picnic this morning. The weather was perfect, and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Mason LOVED it, there are so many cute pictures of him, I have to put a lot up!

Our day started out with a picnic, here he is with cousin Tori

Mason will only drink from a sippy cup, he can do it just fine by himself, but he likes to get help sometimes, too.

Next, we went to the swings. By popular demand (haha, actually just by Kimberly's demand...), here is a picture of me, finally, on this blog.

Alexis has always loved to play with Mason, and just look at his big smile, and you can see that he loves it, too!

Uncle Michael entertained Mason for quite some time by burying him in the sand!

Levi and Mason are already the best of friends, besides a few little disagreements about who gets to hold what toy once in awhile, they love to play with each other! It is so cute, they always smile so big at each other when they see each other.

We tried to get a good picture of Mason and Grandma, but Mason just couldn't keep still! He kept crawling off.
