Does anyone else's house ever look like this?

As always, I'm a little slow putting up this post that I thought of a while ago. I just had to post it and see if anyone else can say that their house gets this tornado-like:

In my defense, when these pictures were taken,
this little cutie pie...

was suffering from his first ear infection and I consequently was running on little sleep...
so
when this little cutie pie....
...was left to his own devices 'cuz Carter was demanding more than his fair share of my attention...
This is what happened....
After getting both boys into bed, I saw this sight and decided that it would be more therapeutic to take pictures and blog than to tackle the mess just yet.
(All of the shelves on this DVD organizer are normally full)

Oh, man. Good call on taking the pictures and blogging first! It's amazing how fast those cute little tykes can wreak that kind of havoc. So... I was outside today, and I caught a whiff of something that just took me back to my first day in Artashat, walking along a dusty road on the way to the Minasyans for dinner. Good times... I'm so excited that you're going to live by me soon!

Mason's face is so funny in that picture. He totally looks mischevious. I think we all have had those moments. I like your idea of taking pictures instead of cleaning it right up. Thank goodness we have blogging!

Don't you just love kids minds sometimes. I have had my house look like that oftentimes. Fortunately and unfortunately (depending on how you look at it) if I am resting the kids don't get into anything they shouldn't. They are angels. But it is when I am awake and doing other things that they terrorize my house. Go figure. I guess I just need to rest a lot more and they will stay out of trouble. Fortunately though Lexie is a great cleaner upper and Joshua follows her example so they usually pick up their own mess if I yell loud enough. Oh I mean ask nice enough.

LOL, yes! My house definitely has these moments. I'm sure it will have them much more frequently when Phillip leaves for training next week. The important part is, those cute little guys are having so much fun! :)

Yes, my friend, you're not alone. After the kids go to bed, it is officially clean up time (trying to clean up when they're awake is like shoveling in a snowstorm) and sometimes I just don't want to do either. I can't wait to be able to afford a maid. . .sigh. . .

I can't say how much better your blog made me feel this morning because I have something just like those pictures waiting for me this morning. Sometimes you just want to put the little culprit in a padded room! :)

Amen. Sometimes it can wait till morning, or till the hubby gets home. Hope Your little guy feels better and that you get some sleep.

Sometimes I wonder what the point of cleaning is. It never lasts more than a couple of hours anyway, why waste my time and energy?! :)
