Memories...

I saw this on my friend, Stephanie's blog. I did something like this a while back on myspace, and it was pretty fun. I hope to hear from you all!

MEMORY LANE- This is just too fun to pass up. Here are the directions:1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember! I guess good or bad, but be nice!!!!!!!2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

I remember you going on vacations with us in my car and it was so fun when mason and carter were born.

I remember hearing about you a lot from you mom while you were on your mission - I was her secretary in Relief Society at the time. She was so proud of you! Now most of my memories of you include parks and kids!

Oh my goodness....memories I have... I have FAR too many from The Colony to list...but I do remember when we had those how to host a murder parties...and also when I changed rooms for the summer, and we got to be roomies for the spring term after I graduated. I also remember when you and your fam drove up to see us when Ryan and I came out to Colorado with little Mason. This is a great idea!

I think by now I have a few to choose from. But one memory is when we went to PF Changs and that is when my manager brought out the "new appetizer" for us to try and we announced that we were pregnant. We had such fun hanging out all the time. We need to spend more time together.

Just the other day I found some of my pictures from the colony days and I found one where you were kiednapped and duct taped to the flag pole! Crazy mormon kids.

The Colony holds so many great memories!! I loved the times we went to Arby's and Chick F Lay (sp). That will always be our place to me! :) I Love you! THank you for making my time in the colony so great.

Oh Kristalyn, where do I begin? There are too many to narrow it down to 1. You were my saving grace freshman year when I was so homesick - I especially love the memory of our snickers holiday shake tradition with snickers pumpkins, soldiers, etc in them. Then there were our years in the colony - apt dates, pranks, debates with Jason, button sewing parties, game nights, holiday baking, the trip we took to your house in CO, the trip to grand junction, the trip to the narrows, hiking Mt. Timpanogas - I could go on and on and on - some of the best memories of my life. Thanks for being an incredible friend and an amazing person!

I think our sleepovers with Nikki and Linsi have to top my list. I always seemed to be the one to fall asleep early and that's when the torture began! I remember waking up several times with flour, and other concoctions smeared all over my face. Oh and who can forget the time that you and Linsi sprayed so much perfume under Nikki's door, that Nikki and I had to climb onto the roof to get away from the fumes!

I remember when.....you were here for Christy's wedding, I knew who you were, Jake had told me about you. But I didn't know you very well. Anyways getting ready for Christy's reception was memorable to me, you were pregnant with Mason, I was barely pregnant with Bridger, but you talked with me, like you knew me. You're very personable. I liked that about you. I felt like I knew you for years. Christy, and Jake obviously know you better than me, but it was nice to be talked too like I was one that was known.

Coming into the apartment after one long day in ashtarak and finding a dirty, gross bandaid sitting on my side of the table. When I turned around to ask you about it, I see your head peaking around the door frame with the biggest smile on your face. Then you said..." I just left it there to see what you would do."

I love that this is the new blog thing to do because I'm having a great time going down memory lane.
One of my favorite memories is when we dressed as a toothpaste and toothbrush for our dorm trick-or-treating at BYU or what about when we pranked called guys in the Colony to see who ditched the Priesthood session of conference and left the message of "My hands are small I know, but they're not yours they are my own." in a very solemn voice. And I can't forget WINDOW CRACKS! We had too much fun, KristalyN! I wish we lived closer!

Trying to get the spices to blend into the pudding so that if someone ate it they would be in for a surprise, and then of course decorating windows with it. The horse walking in the middle of the road at midnight during a cookie run, revenge of the snowman, hanging the Michael Jackson poster from our window. So many fun memories! I remember laughing so hard that we couldn't stop, and when we were finally able to stop, we couldn't look at each other or we would start laughing uncontrollably again. Thanks for the great memories that still make me smile. you are a wonderful, genuine friend!

Oh! so many memories at the Colony! Yeah! I remember we were in the same FHE group (the best ever group, seriously) and we went up to provo canyon and had marshmallows and everything. Another good memory was sitting on your front porch and chatting with you Littleton girls!

I remember spending Christmas at your house one year and there were so many of us kids and toys that the adults gave us each a box and we each put all of our Christmas loot in it and pushed it all over the house. Up and down the stairs.... I also remember coming by myself and spending a week one summer at your house. We went swimming at a pool and you were so excited to show me the pool. I got my worst sunburn of my life that day! I also remember you always walking on your toes in flip flops. Do you ever do that anymore? :) I can't wait to see you and your cute family next week!

I remember when we all went to see Independence day in the movie theater and you fell asleep and I couldn't believe that you could fall asleep in such an intense movie. haha

Erin- I don't have your email or blog..I had totally forgotten about the flagpole kidnapping! I was so picked on. :) One memory that I have of you is going up in either your brother's truck or his roommate's in the middle of the night to watch a comet. It was so fun being your roommate and just chatting!

Linsi and Kristalyn-I want you to know that I remember very well what that "spicy" cream pie tasted like even though I've tried to forget!! Hee, hee-J/K. You did do a great job of hiding those spices and I think at least 5 of us tried it all at once! Speaking of pranks and looking back, Kristalyn, I feel so bad that your green Saturn fell victom to the remains of thousands of paper hole punches created at the Cougar Copy center. I want you know that that was not my idea nor did I participate, but I will always remember how you handled that like a true champ! We certainly deserved the spice cream pie after that one!
Sure love you!
Jill

Kristalyn... I too have many fond memories of you and us and our freshman/Colony days. But the one that came to mind is when you guys decided to have a sleepover on the front lawn of the colony and Katie and maybe Jill and I.... thought it would be funny to put on masks and make fake knifes and try to scare you guys. Stupid idea, but we sure thought we were funny. We had soooo much fun... all of us together. I wish we could have a reunion someday of all of us from the Colony.

I have many memories of our sleepovers and reading books before bed. Your headboard was packed with books. I always loved knowing what you were reading and sharing that time with you. :)

What a great idea! So cute I just couldn't pass it up. :) Anyway, I'd like to share a couple memories with you, Kristalyn... One would be that hike you and I did as roommates up Spanish Fork Canyon with a group from our Colony ward (Mike Lowry, Jenna (Seely) Waite, and several others). I've got some great pics from that hike, and they are adorable! Another memory would be going to Chick-Fil-A at University Mall with you & Shawnee. :) Good times to be sure!

Wow you have so many people that left memories :)
now its my turn!
I remember when you first got engaged. We were sharing a room, and you came in the room at like...who knows what time. You woke me up and said "David asked me to marry him!" and you showed me your ring. I'd never seen your happier! I felt special because i was the first to know!

I remember how you always were the smartest kid in all your classes in high school (at least until AP English came along and wrecked your 4.0--you really should have been valedictorian!!)And how you used to bring your Chic Fil A friends over to our house your senior year-those were fun times! And I remember so many other wonderful times since you've gotten married and become such a fantastic mother--I'm so proud of you.

There are so many great memories of you. However, one thing that really stands out is your great smile and laugh. It makes me smile just thinking about it.

Ok so I am way late but I enjoyed reading everyone's memories. Especially the people from the Colony. Man I miss those days. But the memory I have is the green pudding. I loved that and then throwing it on the doors. I didn't like too much that we had to go clean it up but I sure had fun making it. It was always a blast to hang out with you. I also remember playing football in the rain right before the school year started. And all the times we played Capture the Flag. Man I agree with Olivia we should have a Colony reunion. You should plan it :)

I remember when you got your mission call to Armenia how excited our friends were because their parents were serving as the mission president and his wife. Sister Abplanalp still comes up to me in the temple and asks how Sister Barker is doing. (It kind of threw me the first time she asked, but now I expect it!)

I thought it was too funny when you took a picture of me during one of my power point presentations in Steele Frost's class. I still have the picture in my scrapbook. Oh and getting lost on the way to Teamu's wedding reception, what an adventure!!!! I totally miss you!

Only one? Ok... Walking in Vostan and watching the little kids chasing the turkeys... Rescuing the puppy and giving to Garik for his birthday... Praying that the water would come on, and the elders calling to say that theirs was on, and ours wasn't. And they knew their prayer was answered because they prayed that their water would come on and ours wouldn't. They PRAYED for that???!!!... Welp, I couldn't keep it down to just one. Sorry!
